Jensen Barnes is a designer and musician who as taught graphic design, typography, motion graphics, interactive and web design courses at schools in Southern California. After working several years as a publication designer in the San Francisco Bay Area, he received a grad-uate degree at Yale University School of Art. Since 2004 he has designed for art, music, architecture, science, education and cultural clients with studios and publishers including: 2×4 Inc., April Greiman at Made in Space and Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) among many others.
His work has been noted by the Art Directors Club Awards in New York and the San Francisco Bookbuilders West Book Awards. He was appointed lecturer at College of Environmental Design at California State Polytechnic University Pomona in 2009, California State University Long Beach in 2010 and California State University Los Angeles in 2012.
